Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forests - Ziz Valley - Merzouga
Depart from Fes in the morning for the 3 days desert tour from Fes to Merzouga by driving to Ifrane, a charming ski resort town known for its Swiss-style architecture.
After a stop in the UNESCO preserved cedar forests of the Middle Atlas that host a colony of “Barbary Macaques”. You will continue through the scenic Atlas Mountains, admiring the stunning views along the way.
Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon and go on a camel ride into the desert to reach your camping destination where you will spend the night under the stars in a desert camp in the heart of the desert.
Day 2: Explore the Desert Area - Midelt
Enjoy a sunrise breakfast in the desert, before devoting the first half to exploring the desert area visiting nearby oases, traditional nomad families and desert landscapes to get an insight into the traditional way of life.
Later, you will drive north through the city of Erfoud and the palm valley of Ziz before getting to Midelt where you wil spend your second night in a comfortable hotel/Riad.
Day 3: Midelt - Ifrane - Fes
